Magical Things

The 7th Hahdee pahtah (that's korean for Harry Potter) is upon us...I don't have it yet, but soon soon I will know what happens...and I'll be honest, I'm not adverse to just reading the synopsis online as soon as the world's best speed reader gets 'er done. Don't get me wrong, I still heart harry, I mean, I've been with him for 6 books, 5 movies, several blog entries and a few overnight work shift...it's just that I might be having that sort of ennui that comes with something ending. You know how you get annoyed with everyone you know right before you move so that you don't have to be sad about the end....yeah...that sort of psychological thingy.
In honor of HP, I thought I would tell you about two magical things in my life:
1. I made a tornado in a bottle! When I was a young and impressionable student, science never thrilled me, but now that I've rediscovered my inner geek (and since I am doing science on a level closer to my understanding) I'm so excited to teach it and learn all about tornados in coke bottles. woo hoo! Bring on the punnet squares!

2. I AM officially A LONG HAIRED GIRL!!!! This is truly magic. Now comes the hard part...trying not to cut it. Itchy Itchy scissor finger...

Don't cut it, KaRyn! (Of course, I just shaved my head yesterday, but that's not the point...)

I love your hair Karyn! I wish I could have the same georgeous locks. Let's make a pact not to cut either of our heads of hair til we meet again!

I'm three books behind on Harry (they got so friggin' LONG!), and I"m worried that someone's going to give away the ending before I can get caught up! Let's make this the best-kept secret since Santa Claus, okay everyone?

Long hair looks great on you. Plus it will come in handy when Mad Scientist Ninny discovers electricity -- poof! Insta-Einstein.

Ooh, Marie, I know. Several people at work were reading it and one guy had already finished it and told someone else the ending. I was so nervous all night.

K - Your hair looks great! It is so hard to get past shoulder length and you did it! Now you have so many more prom hair options.

I know how it e-ends! Mo got me a copy Fri night. Finished Monday. Couldn't get 'er done by Sunday 'cause I had to speak in Sac Meeting - HC Sunday - and with all the talks I've saved over the years I didn't have one on Prayer. Ugh. Had to write one.

Anybody wanna know who dies and who doesn't??????

Don't do it dad! Not that I don't already know because I honestly couldn't wait and just read the wikipedia synopsis to take the pressure off...but there are innocents in here that couldn't handle it.

speaking as a former short hair, don't cut it! cutting is addicting and it takes FOREVER to grow back again. getting used to hair on my neck and shoulders was hard for me but you gotta power through.
